Ralph's Story

A Tale of Three Stepmothers

Ralph's story is the most complicated. 

Firstly, recognize these cartoons

Story Start.

Ralph comes from complex stepfamilies .

He has : 

3 half-brothers , 1 half-sister (not important)

3 stepbrothers, 1 stepsister (not important)

1 stepfather , 2 stepgrannies (not important)

3 stepmothers . (important)

* half-brother/sister mean: brother/sister which is same father but different mother or same mother but different brother.
同父异母或同母异父的兄弟/姐妹

* Stepbrother/sister mean: different father different mother.
异父异母的兄弟/姐妹

His mother marries to Howard after her first divorce.

Ralph has to share his time with both mother and father.

As he cannot keep tracking of which parent's house he should go to after school each day, Annabel and his father develop a lunchbox system.

Dumbo lunchbox means Dad's house.

Mickey lunchbox means Mom's house.

D for Dad and M for  Mom

Ralph 的父母离婚后，妈妈嫁给了一个叫做 Howard 的男人 (不用记因为不重要)

他就被逼要分开自己的时间，一时去妈妈那里，一时去爸爸那里。
因为他不能很确定每天要去谁的家，Annabel跟爸爸就发明了 饭盒系统(lunchbox system)

看到 Dumbo 大象就是去爸爸家，
看到 Mickey 米奇就是去妈妈家。

1st stepmother 

Annabel.

Health concious 

 -  always on diet .

 - disapproved of coffee.

 - baking bread at home

 - does not allow stepsons to buy bread from outside (becoz full of chemical)

 - insists the whole family follow the selective of food.

Superstitious 

 - said that she could see aura on everyone's head.

 - she reads her star sign forecast everyday.
 - believe on zodiac.

注重健康

 - 每天在减肥

 - 不赞成 coffee.

 - 在家做面包

 - 不给孩子去外面买面包 (因为很多化学物品)

 - 坚持全家人都要吃她选的食物

迷信

- 她说她可以看到每个人头上都有光环 (天使的光环)

- 她每天读每日运程
- 相信星座

At last , she leave her husband for someone else.

她遇到了更好的男人，就离开了 Ralph 的爸爸

2nd stepmother 

Janet

Control freak

 - strict with rules.

 - has her own rules on everything.

 Rules that Janet made :
  1. time everyone had to go to bed , and when they had to get up

  2. period for watching television
  3. what sort of food you were allowed to take out of the fridge without asking

Hardworking

 - like to cook 

 - Ralph's clothes are always well-ironed.

 - always clean for the family

* Ralph and his stepbrothers had to lead a prison kind of life when they lived with Janet.

控制狂

 - 多多规矩 

 - 什么都要 rules

  Janet定的规矩 :
 1. 几点睡觉，几点起床
 2. 看电视机看几久
 3. 冰橱有哪些食物是不用询问就可以拿来吃的 (就是说有些食物要吃要先问她)

勤劳

 - 每天煮饭

 - 每天烫衣服 

 - 每天做家务

* Ralph和他的兄弟过着监牢般的生活

At last , she felt that she was taken advantage of so she leaves Ralph's father.

她觉得她被利用 (因为每天做家务烫衣服煮饭) ， 就离开了 Ralph 的爸爸

3rd stepmother - Flora

( haven't marry with Ralph's father yet but already pregnant )
( 还没跟 Ralph 的爸爸结婚，但是已经怀孕了)

Ralph likes her the most.
They often watch movies and drink coffee together.

Flora

Extremely disorganised

 - she took the boys to watch unsuitable movies. (18+)

 - sent Ralph miles away just to buy peppermint sauce when she was pregnant.

Good to Ralph

 - buy cute gifts for him.

Has poor housekeeping skills

Has no knowledge about taking care of baby but willing to learn

*when Flora was pregnant, Ralph reads baby books. This is to prepare him to help look after the baby.

很没有条理的
 - 带孩子们去看 18+ 的电影
 - 在怀孕时叫 Ralph 去远远的地方买薄荷酱 ( peppermint sauce )

对 Ralph 很好
- 有时候买很可爱的礼物给他

不怎么会打理家里

没有照顾孩子的知识( 因为太年轻 ) ，但是愿意去学
